Further Education Day on theology - Netherlands

The fifth consecutive Further Education Day on theology took place in Lunteren. The 50 participants from the Soldiers and Adherents Course took part as well as 101 who had previously taken part in that course.
The training day went well. Everybody is looking forward to the next two training days. There will be an increase in attendance. Participants particularly appreciated this year's theme. Professor Klaas Spronk lectured on Theology and Spirituality. Speaking on this subject, he recalled his work as a minister in a nursing home, when the best way to communicate with the patients was singing old songs.
The organisers always take care to also invite lecturers with a Salvation Army background. Every Eduction day focuses on education, application for the Salvation Army and personal application.

That sounds great Jeanne - thanks for sharing. I was interested in that "The organisers always take care to also invite lecturers with a Salvation Army background..." has there been a problem in the past?

Jeanne this sounds excellent! One handicap in my territory is the pay-as-you-go syndrome. The Army pays and then you go. Do your participants pay their own way? Are they subsidised at all?
